Processors interested in rapid prototyping have a new source of information to turn to online, PrototypeToday.com. Although still a start-up, the site already has an active forum where readers share tips and questions. It also has been updated with a free online prototyping directory and job board.

The site offers resources to assist in product development and manufacturing. Prototype Today officially went online in beta form on November 1, 2010. According to the persons responsible for the website, Prototype Today's goal is to offer a centralized database of information and content for a vast audience, from service bureau owners to garage inventors.

In the site's industry directory, companies can post company information for free. They have the ability to include photos and videos with their information, at no charge. Companies can also update their page by attaching files for brochures and literature.

On the job board, companies can submit job opportunities.  Job seekers can upload their resume and profile to the site's database.

Interactive tools at the website include a forum, chat room, and a social profile that can be customized with user details.
