Colorado Engineering is a Woman Owned Small Business founded and headquartered in Colorado Springs.

The company is a software and hardware design engineering company that serves government and defense contractors.

This week, the company received a Tibbetts Award from the Small Business Administration for its reconfigurable advanced rapid-prototyping environment technology. The award is presented to companies that have advanced technological innovation and economic growth.

"This award represents the culmination of years of effort begun in 2003 when we first submitted a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) proposal," said CEI CEO, Nancy Scally. "We won that first submittal, and have since made the SBIR Program a cornerstone of our business development."

The award was presented at a Washington, D.C. ceremony, followed by a White House reception.
