| Sponsors Announced for RTP Product Design Street Faire Posted: 12 Sep 2010 11:56 AM PDT - The RTP Product Development Guild has announced official sponsors for the organization's fourth annual RTP Product Design Street Faire to be held Saturday, September 25, 2010. The ten area businesses and organizations sponsoring this year's event more than double the number of sponsors in 2009. | The Street Faire is a family-friendly outdoor event which is free to attend, with business exhibits, activities for children, and food (provided at modest cost by a local charity). "The informal, personal nature of this event has led to valuable word-of-mouth advertising and effective networking for exhibitors in the past, and sponsors are taking notice," said Montie Roland, President of the RTP Product Development Guild and organizer of the event. According to Roland, last year's Street Faire drew over 120 attendees, including corporate engineering and technology managers, entrepreneurs, and inventors. Official 2010 sponsors are, in alphabetical order: ADR Hydro-Cut - waterjet cutting services Exhibitor booth spaces for the September 25 event are already being reserved online at http://rtpstreetfaire.eventbrite.com. As a special offer to its members, the Morrisville Chamber of Commerce is providing a 10% discount on vendor exhibit space. To utilize this discount, Morrisville Chamber members should use the code "chamber" on http://rtpstreetfaire.eventbrite.com when registering as a vendor. Only current Morrisville Chamber of Commerce member companies will qualify for this discount. The RTP Product Design Street Faire accepts PayPal, major credit cards, or a company check. Prior to the Street Faire on Friday, September 24, Montie Design will be hosting a "Product Design Weekend" kickoff event. This will be an "un-networking event" with no ties, no business cards, and no hang-ups. The September 24 event is designed to be a good time to meet other professionals in the product design and manufacturing field in a relaxed environment, with plenty of non-alcoholic beverages, food, and music. Previous events have drawn anywhere from 25 to 45 people enjoying the fun, laid-back atmosphere. No RSVP is necessary for this upcoming Final Friday; the event begins at 4:30 p.m. at the Montie Design offices, 100 Dominion Drive, Suite 101, in Morrisville. The event ends at 6:30.
